The Wagner New Zealand Foundation is a charitable trust established by The Wagner Society of New Zealand Incorporated.

Through The Wagner New Zealand Foundation, whose aims are to deepen and extend the understanding of Wagner, the Society provides financial support for Wagner events in New Zealand and supports New Zealand artists who wish to further their study of the composer's work abroad. To date the Society and Foundation have provided support for Simon O'Neill's recording with the NZSO, Father & Son, awarded a grant to Margaret Medlyn to study in Europe and supported a special concert performance of Das Rheingold in Auckland. They will also support the NZSO performances of Die Walküre and the APO concert with Deborah Voigt in 2012. Other projects are continually under review.

The Foundation raises its funds from donations by members, bequests and by donations from The Wagner Society of New Zealand itself.

Members may wish to consider making a bequest to The Wagner New Zealand Foundation and by doing so you will be not only helping to support the work of the Society in the promotion and study of the life and work of Richard Wagner, but also providing support for performances of Wagner's work and assistance for New Zealand artists who wish to study his work. To make a bequest please contact the Chairman of the Foundation, Peter Rowe - his contact details are given below. You can also download a copy of the Foundation's brochure by clicking here, which gives further details about the Foundation and how to make a bequest.
